Google Gemini & ChatGPT 4o (pronounced four ō)

This week brought new announcements from two of the leading artificial intelligence (AI) companies, ChatGPT and Google. New in both includes multimodal capabilities, which allow users to interact via text and audio prompts, prompts using still/video inputs, or prompts using "vision" which uses your device's camera or shared screen.

A notable development in ChatGPT is the evolution of its personality. Yes, it can feel eerie and hard to comprehend as it takes on a more sentient quality, making interactions feel increasingly human-like. You will notice it injecting humor and providing empathetic responses, making interactions, well, eerie but fascinating.

Most of us were around at the advent of the personal computer, internet, and mobile phones.
